Dr. Per-Henrik Zahl is an epidemiologist and a senior statistician at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health in Oslo. He has published numerous articles in scientific peer-reviewed journals; his current work centers on several topics: screening for breast cancer and the effect of overdiagnosis and regression on the incidence and the mortality rates, the adverse effects and the ethical aspects of mammography screening, concealed suicides in motor vehicle accidents. Dr. Zahl earned his medical degree from the University of Oslo, where he went on to complete his master of science degree in mathematical statistics and his doctoral degree in biostatistics.
